Experience

Experience is attained by slaying monsters and completing quests. When a level is gained, five attribute points and a skill point are rewarded.

Ranks

Ranks act similarly to levels in that five attribute points are still rewarded, but an expertise point is given. This point can be assigned to an expertise, rather than a class skill.

After reaching level 50, experience can be assigned in two different ways via a dropdown within the Options menu of the character display:

• Divide EXP To Levels: Experience will be assigned to gaining levels, up to level 55.
• Divide EXP To Grades: Experience will be assigned to gaining ranks, up to rank 50.
  

Level and rank experience are separate amounts, so experience cannot be transferred between the two.
