Well,got some personal BS in front of me and by the time I get 'em over with I'll be off to the army till around early April.I'll quite likely be around for a couple more days or so,thought I'd say my goodbyes now just in case.
So,best of luck to the community,I'll try to be around these days and perhaps drop a line from inside the army.

If you go over seas I will ask you the same thing I have asked all my buddies who have went... I want you to try and find me a souvenir... A snow globe of either Afghanistan or Iraq... They cant seem to find even one and who knows you may have better luck.\

Surely the thread should read "....is see you later" not "...is goodbye" as I would like to think you will have internet of some form again and we will see you back here....

Seriously though... one thing you might be able to do whilst in the army if the option is there and that's grab every bit of training/quals that either can be useful afterwards or interests you. Saves having to pay to get these later and hopefully less chance of getting shot...

You're in there anyway so make the most of it and hope you get a good posting. Worked with quite a few military / ex-military and after basic training you can have a fun time. Some (not all obviously) of them spent their days at work, scuba diving, sailing, parachuting, climbing etc, etc

Hey Bryan, good luck n the Army. I served 22 years ... good times!

My advice to you is to get a decent laptop. Be sure to get a case with a lock on it though because there are some knuckelheads in the millitary that like to mess with peoples laptops. My Brother-In-Law can vouche for that lol.
