Post Promoting members' work
(I admit not thoroughly checking the forum if such a thread already exists. If it does please inform me so we can right ahead delete this one and just have the existent one(s) necro'd for the job.)

There's people in the community (PeeterMcG,Maeyan,Wildman to name some I've noticed) who are into art,in any form.My idea would be (of course if there's enough people interested) perhaps we could have a subforum specifically for promoting community members' work, art or otherwise. Each thread would be "here's what I wrote/composed/drew/took a picture of/whatever" of members interested, instead of having them spread out in Talk for instance.

I'd appreciate opinions on this,on first thought I find it to be potentially useful.

I can see this as being a great thing. As far as I know there is not a thread for the community members to post their art. I think that more people would be able to enjoy all the great works the members of this community had to offer. It all depends on how many people are on board with this, because with little or no contributions to the subforum it would becme a moot point.

Totally agree with you,I'd only suggest seriously considering this if a decent number of people were interested in the idea.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see how many show interest, then maybe some higher-up (don't know who has that authority actually) can see to it.

This sounds like a cool idea, I might even put up some stuff

As far as a sub-forum for it I think you would have to talk to maeyen, but if you want a sticky in the "Talk" forum probably any of the mods could do that

Glad to see you approve, seeing some of your work scattered about was one of the reasons that brought me to coming up with the idea.Truth is I might have some stuff to contribute as well every once in a while.

Well yeah, did assume if anyone had that authority it would be him.Suppose if it builds up more I can bring it to his attention and see what comes out.

This here would be an example. viewforum.php?f=79

Anyone who contributes to a likewise significant degree deserves some recognition.

That's the main idea yeah, though I had a more subject-free forum in mind.
i.e. 4-5 members can be the "regulars" to keep it running with enough contributions it won't go to waste, but someone who has less work to promote can drop a line every once in a full moon too and still not have his thread lost under unrelated ones.
More like a cozzy corner for everyone's artistic endeavors of any form (curious choice of words, that line  )

That does sound like a really good idea. You guys help make the community what it is and i'm all for various forms of recognition. Splitting PeterMcGs into several issues and creating its own sub forum is a good idea. This other subforum your talking about it a good idea too... i'll go over these ideas and come up with something

Thanks Bryan and all!

I don't know... I don't think that quite conveys the depravity that one might be subjected to upon entering lol.

What about the midgets were all slathered in mayonnaise and the g-strings were all made of bacon?

I created a new sub forum for peoples own projects. If you have a substantial project and would like your own space within the sub community, please send me a pm :) Would PeterMcG want a forum for your story? Its pretty good

I shall defer to the judgment of others on this....I can't separate ego to determine if that would be best or not.
I have no objections if you wish to move it, nor would I be bothered if it remained where they are.

IMHO I'd say you deserve as much, your work was after all one of those that gave me the idea in the first place.Other than that,it's indeed a great story quality-wise and if anything,Hellgate-themed.
I'd do the moving for you if you approve of it.It's just that it's not a decision for me or anyone to make on one's own judgement alone.

Just a little detail. It'd aesthetically appeal to me more if you had your story parts as different threads,in a motive similar to Tirex's Unkown Winter I mean.
Your call either way, just my two cents there.
