I have a similar question about damage in general, I've recently started collecting rank points and was going to put them into Crit/Dmg/Pet Dmg. For the latter two (Damage and Pet Damage), are the calcualtions automatically done, i.e., would they show on the stats screen for the character and drone or do you need to actually calculate them?

Just another observation (already made, but needs to be mentioned again - by me  8)). The Jin's loaded up with Expanded Fuels are almost silly-good. I cleared out the first area in a L50'ish Rift (off Catas) with two strikes and the room in the rift with 4 strikes (I think I bounced one off my head  ???). On NM mode mind you, I suppose Hell would be harder, but still - crazy.  :o

If i could choose 4 affixes on a striker weapons i would choose, crit, splash,crit multiplier and combat dmg.
Other usefull would be tactical and decrease power cost, ele effect, shield pene. For the rest i would not be sure if they work. In fact i am not 100% sure if the multiplier works.

I tooled up a sniper with proc effects on it and I was getting the procs off my strikes.

so do you know for sure that a weapon stat like crit works for strikes? Do you know about the base weapon crit?

so do you know for sure that a weapon stat like crit works for strikes? Do you know about the base weapon crit?

So far i have tested, crit as mod and affix (just take a wargod rifle and you see), shield pene as mod and affix, eledam as mod and ele effect as mod and affix- and they all work. For some reason eledam as affix doesnt work.

I decided to level an engi recently so i borrow the chrome bolters of a guild mate. Except 2 fuels that have 6/8% ele dmg + 5/6% radius i have 2 weapons with 17 and 22 + 4 fuels above 17%...

That just CRAZY !!! I rolled it yesterday and i m already rank 13 ^^ Without any xp pack, i sometimes do more than 500K xp doing my ranks in a 5 members team in NM at shadow pass...my MM took only 60to 100K on good runs with 25% pack.
At lvl 40 ish i compared my xp with an other engi. On a good run, he did 70K ish XP and i took 750K -_-
Engis don t need double xp events...they have XP x 5 buff on their hands ^^

Like I said. Plus engies with those bolters are always welcome in the fast XP parties in SH. It's nice to be wanted like a Guardian for a change  ;D.

  I recently spent a lot of time playing with an engi named Morfeidemon. I quickly noticed how powerfull were his strikes. He shown me his guns and he s using +8 bolters lvl 63/65. I was a bit confused until he told me that dps on strike guns have an influence on strikes' damage.
I ask a lot of people around me and they all told me that was not the case. But the fact is here, this engi makes a HUGE load of damage with his strikes.
He has one pair for each caste ( demon/beast/necro at least). He has fuels with splash + ccm so he easily reaches the crit cap for each caste.
Crit cap can t explain the huge difference with mines. I have around 35% crit with bolters in hand and around 1K cdb. I can t really test by myself as i m broke and can t buy any retrainers or new high lvl strike guns.

I think you have to team with him to believe it seriously. He told me he can reach  2nd boss of base defense in hell solo and i believe it, seeing how much dmg he does in a 5 men team on NM.

Sounds very hard to belive especially the hell solo basedef thing- I also have 2 strikesets. One is my mainhand weapon (+7 corpsemountains) and a bolter set and i dont see that much of a difference really.
