Question on resetting Engineer Skills - HGG

When the skills are reset for an engineer, does this affect the drone itself? What I mean is when the skills which directly affect the drone stats (Armor, Gun and Sword Retrofit) are reset to zero, do the equipped items "fall off" the drone (the armor, gun and sword) or do the ATTS remain as they were before the reset and the items remain equipped? If they do remain the same, would you then not be able to add to the affected ATT stats by setting the skills  back to their original values (and thusly be able to equip godly armor, guns and blades)? I ask this because I have read that resetting an Engineer's ATTs do not affect those of the drone, I was wondering if the same held true for skills that directly affect WILL, STA, STR and ACC for the drone.

If anyone playing an Engineer with a drone has done a skill reset please pipe in here. Thanks.

When I used a skill retrainer in SP hgl and it reset all skill-related att pts but left pts assigned by myself on the drone. The slots remained as I recall, so there was no equipment falling off, memory not reliable on this.

I asked this question years ago and respondents suggested an attribute retrainer might reset the drone. Never tried it, i am skeptical, but would love to know the answer.

The description for the attribute retrainer says the drone's attributes will also be reset, but I can't remember what the skill retrainer says. (The tooltip only shows up when it's in your inventory)

Well when I reset my skills the equipment slots disappeared along with the equipment. But when I reapplied the points the slots came back and my drone was wearing the equipment again.  As for attribute points the drones points will also be reset so gear will be displayed in red just like when your feeds are unable to support gear on your own character.

A further question Mega - when you say the items dissappeared, did they go into your character's main inventory? If they did, I wonder what would happen if your main inventory was full when you did a reset... would they remain attached and active on the drone?

Just to be clear - I am trying to see if there is a programming glitch here that could be used to an Engineer's advantage (much like the phantom nova bug of old).

Old... not sure it applies anymore. Essentially the drone kept it's on-hit nova properties in certain circumstances when you removed the weapons. Putting even more powerful on-hits (like Dunbars and Righteous Star) in the empty slots essentially doubled/tripled the novas... made for some real video card melting Molly runs back in the day.

Well when I say disappear the equipment slot on the drop disappeared.  The equipped equipment stayed in the no longer visible slot.  However I forgot to check if the equipped weapons and armor would appear on a summoned drone with no equip abilities, I would wager they do not appear equipped (it would definitely be a very exploitable "bug" if that were the case ala strike engineers with heavily geared out drones with only a few point in construct drone and switch guns to summon high HP drone).

I was afflicted by a bug 3 weeks ago that I'm still waiting a response from T3 over, where after party portalling to a guildmate,  my character was fully respecced ( skills, attributes & expertise ranks, but premium skill points were not returned ). My drone's attributes that I had allocated weren't reset.
