Mod suggestions for Hu's/ Hurricanes

Im now the proud owner of a couple of Hu's on my MM and I can say I'm very pleased with them (aside from the ABSURD Acc feed).  I've also got my eyes on some Hurricanes for the +3 Beacon

I was just wondering if some of the veterans here can fill me in on some good suggestions for mods to put in these guns.  Right now they're clean and not nano'd and they still just cut through mobs.  That is until I join a party or bump up the difficulty.  Even still though, they put out some good dmg and I feel like more of a helpful addition to a party than just some one on the sidelines

Any and all help/ info is much appreciated!

Not too experienced with hunters,but my obvious outsider's suggestion would be to take advantage of their high RoF and try getting some novas/sharpnel/etc in there.If your stats will allow it,of course.
Now alternatively,you could try the cc route and get some stun attack strength mods (getting a +x stun attack strength augment would surely help on that front too).Again,the high RoF should make them into quite the tools for retreat in solo or a few seconds of clean hits in parties.

If they are 6 total slots just remember to gain quite a few ranks first ilvl mods that work will be at least 20 feed for legendary types.

+elemental% damage mods first because they increase the damage for both regular and critical damage and they are relitively cheap.

The tip I received from one of the fastest boss killing MM in the game was to use CCM (Caste)/+Elemental DMG and carry multiple weapons, but avoid physical damage type on the necro killing gun since he said Imhotep is physical immune.

I use the following mods in my Hurricanes:

Ammo: 13% ele damage (fire/spec)
Fuel: ~200 stun / ~200 ignite
Tech: 12% ele damage (phys/elec)

Ammo: 13% ele damage (fire/spec)
Fuel: ~200 poison / ~200 ignite
Tech: 12% ele damage (phys/elec)

With the rest of my gear my Hurris have about +55% damage and a reasonable amount of second effects.

Most people use mods like this:
+x% ele damage / + 50(+) crit multi agains demons (or other race).

I dont use them because i only have 2 Hurris. Maybe if i had more, i would mod them with specialized crit multi mods for specific race. But im not fully crit speced.

These are boss killers for sure. Preferably augged for big CDB (Caste) too for some extra punch. For generic use I'd prefer either dual (elemental) damage or (elemental) damage and +2 CCB depending on the build and gear. Shield Penetration is also nice if you don't have enough from other gear.

anyone know exact calc with ele dmg and crit dmg bonus ? trying to figure out if 6% ele would be better than 8-9% since it takes half the WP feed allowing for another 10 or so accu - 20% cdb with a crit cap setup.

Are ccm vs caste and shield penetration mods apply for both weapons or just one?

Caste= moster type; i.e. Demons, Necros, etc

CCB= Critical Chance Bonus

Are my assumptions correct? Sorry, still trying to figure out what all the abbreviations and stuff stands for

I just did some number crunching and if what everyone in-game says about +damage is true then at 1000% crit dmg (an easily obtainable number for most high level marksmans) on a critical hit 1% add damage is equivalent to 10% additional crit dmg, no wonder I was told to look for ccm (cast)/+add damage%, so 3 perfect 9% mods would increase my guns base DPS from 230 to near 300 DPS and also boost my crit dmg by roughly 270% (my crit dmg is almost 1000%).

Not to beat a deceased horse too much, but in my case (using legendary pen pistols, not 'canes) I have 4 beautiful mods - but they have stupid high Will feeds (17-25 each)... I must be doing it wrong, because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to readjust my stats to enable me to carry two weapons that  take insane amounts of Will - on a engineer  ??? I have the retrainers, but it's looking like my engie will be in his skivvies hiding behind his drone for Hell Berial battles  ;D

what Thumper said.  these Will feeds are absurd.  it's bad enough i have to dump all my att. points into Acc. just to weild the stupid guns.  and by the time i get to use the mods, i dont have enough att. points to distribute in so i can wear armor.  it seems like it's a lose lose situation with the Hunter class if you wanna dual weild guns

so this brings up a couple more questions...

1. since i dumped so many Acc. points for my Hu's, will i have to dump anymore in for a couple of Hurricanes? if not......

2. should i just focus on dumping points into Will so i can equip some mods on down the road?

i dont have any att. retrainers and i've only got one skill retrainer so im trying to avoid using them at all costs until i get my hands on some more

With hunters its always gonna be a battle getting enough stat points to equip everything, judging from my current equipment I wont be able to equip all my mods til around rank 35-40.
