Revival SP development resumes ....
« on: October 13, 2011, 05:09:49 AM »

You heard right. Revival SP modification 2.0 resumes. It is our intention for the total conversion of all the Stonehenge & Abyss content from the TCv4 patch. We have no ETA at this stage but you will see results in the short future. Stacks of new features including a impressive modification platform.

The Global Skill Planner is now stable! The updates committed over the last 24 hours complete all the strike & grenade skills for marksman and engineers, fix problems with the URL between browsers, experimental zoom in/out feature for lower resolutions and other miscellaneous fixes.

Additionally, the wiki as pretty complete as well. Over time myself and the other devs will continue to update the skill planner and wiki but for the meantime these projects are considered complete. I am relying on the community to continue to improve these in anyway possible. My foresight is now set on the Revival SP modification 2.0 ...

Thanks Wildman! I realize from taking this poll: http://www.hellgateaus.net/forum/suggestions/crossroads/ that the SP mod is still important to people and everything still wants Stonehenge and Abyss for SP. Look forward to it!

I'm delighted to hear this. You folks did such an amazing job, it was a shame that work on the next patch had been suspended (for all intents and purposes). Global is fun, but the single player game is still a great game. Thanks so much for this. I'm still hoping to be able to donate to the cause at some point.

This sounds awesome. Will this include modifiable content like new skills, just SH/abyss, or is it to early to say?

Leit, Most of the skills are easily moddable in 1.2 SP, you just have to know the bit offsets and what each offest does.  For instance, A way ways back for 1.2.1 you can work a lot with the skills, but be carefull it can make the game too easy.  (Like when I modded my own version to *simulate* how 0.6 played, to record a video for future absurdidty.)
