Best of Hellgate
« on: September 25, 2011, 04:55:59 PM »
What's your favourite area in Hellgate: Global?

After a nice weekend of playing Hellgate: London and exploring the new Toyko areas I was wondering which of the new areas was your favourite or if you guys still prefer the "old" Hellgate: London content.

I personally am enjoying the base defence level very much indeed even though I only managed to complete it once on normal mode.

So cast your vote, there might be a nice little surprise for one of the voters!

I voted for Tokyo for several reasons :

- I m in the heat of it since it s a pretty new content i never seen or heard before and i love the genral style of it.

-The mini games are really fun and addictive. Quick fun runs and it s crowded of trash to explode :p

-The addition of jewerly !!! The more stuff slot we have the happier i am !! ( Anarchy Online player inside ;) )

-Tokyo prove that Hellgate isn t dead ! Even if it s the last content we ll have for the game, it s some good fresh air for it !

yeah I was really looking forward to the "new" content especially since I heard that T3FUN had some 20 developers working on the game but I was deeply disappointed when I discovered that there was nothing really new about Tokyo. Of coarse I was excited to see "new" areas even though they were still produced by Flagship but the lack of polish shocked me. I firmly believe that T3FUN does not employ 20 developers that solely work on Hellgate: Global, I guess T3 is referring to their developers that heard of the game^^
Anyways, all I want from T3 is that they fix the game. They dont have to add new content for now but I want need to see some big bug fix patches.

edit: looks like I went a little of topic there but it had to be said...

As much as I love the new weapons from abyss (Hurricanes) and tokyo (Penetration Pistols) as well as the jewelry I Voted for SH.  The annoying habit of Berial to go invincible, heal all the damage I did, and summon his clones was the deciding factor.  Whether this is true for Kaibutsnatan remains to be seen as I have yet to reach him.

i voted for original hg content, but only as it is related to hanbits revamp of the quests and tileset. The street sets, the liverpool street sets, riverbeds sets, new stations and london bridge are all massive improvements on the original.

I think hanbit deserves a little credit for making the questline and tilesets much more tolerable. All they did was take peices of hell, riverbed and street, and combined them into a new thing, but they did good with what they had.

I wanted to say Tokyo but i havent even gotten there yet.

Voted Tokyo just because it is new and refreshing even if many of the maps are just reskinned.

Although I do love the area with the natan fight.

Not ignoring the voting, just unable to vote as only got to stonehenge so far (and that's not as good as original SH), so unable to compare with the rest of the areas.

Good luck with the poll.

SH also gets my vote. Abyss is okay but I find the Catacombs boring and the building levels - well, the mapping does not work well  ;D

Like Bryan says, SH has everything one needs to keep amused. The newer levels (for us non-TC people) are interesting to visit and the Abyss bosses are very well done. Just scratching the surface of Tokyo, so maybe premature voting, but m'eh.

Yep, thank u Thumper, I forgot to mention it. I find the "station - 5 lvls of catacombs - station - another 5 lvls of catacombs etc" mapping very tiring.

I completely forgot about that, getting through upper and lower parliament was a nightmare.
